ONEPLUS 8 PRO FIRST LIVE IMAGES LEAKED ONLINE SPORTING PUNCH-HOLE DESIGN

OnePlus is likely to launch the OnePlus 8-series in April next month. And while we are still some time away from the company unveiling its next flagship devices, including the OnePlus 8 Pro. There is nothing stopping the recurrence of leaks of the upcoming smartphones.

Now, a new set of live photos have been spotted online. The images showcase what the OnePlus 8 Pro is likely to look like. These leaked photos show the back and front of the smartphone. It is worth noting that the images spotted also coincides with the previous leak renders of the OnePlus 8 Pro.

The alleged photo of the OnePlus 8 Pro suggests that the smartphone could feature a slight chin at the bottom and minimal bezels on the top and other sides. One can also notice a punch-hole camera on the top-left corner of the phone, housing a selfie camera. The front camera is also placed in a way that they merge with the notification bar at the top.

At the back is a camera module that looks similar to the OnePlus 7T or OnePlus 7T Pro device. However, it also shows an extra sensor on the left side of the setup, which is likely the 3D ToF depth camera. Its use will probably have a similar approach as Huawei phones, with usage in Portrait Mode photos and AR depth mapping. The image also confirms that OnePlus will continue with a curved screen display design this year.

ONEPLUS 8 PRO EXPECTED FEATURES

Based on what has leaked so far, the OnePlus 8 Pro is likely to feature a 6.65-inch AMOLED QHD+ Display with a whopping 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the new OnePlus device will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM. The smartphone might also incorporate a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 50W fast charging.

For photography, the smartphone will come with a quad-camera setup at the back. As per leaks, the setup will include a newer Sony IMX 686 primary sensor. Paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a telephoto sensor, and a ToF camera. It will be interesting to see if OnePlus adds much-requested features like wireless charging and IP certification this time.
