A young child inadvertently sparked confusion over the weekend by posting an unintelligible tweet to the official account of US Strategic Command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agency is responsible for safeguarding America’s nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some social-media users feared the account may have been hacked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But it has since been revealed a young member of the account’s social-media manager’s family was responsible for posting the tweet, \u201c;l;;gmlxzssaw”, which was then deleted within minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nNews website The Daily Dot revealed the accident, after a Freedom of Information request to the agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe command\u2019s Twitter manager\u2026 momentarily left the command\u2019s Twitter account open and unattended,\u201d the response said, adding he had been working from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHis very young child took advantage of the situation and started playing with the keys and unfortunately, and unknowingly, posted the tweet,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A spokesman also confirmed suggestions the account had been hacked were false.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
