By default, when you open your Windows 10 Start menu, you\u2019ll see recently added apps at the top of the app list. This section shows some of the apps you have installed most recently. If you\u2019d like to remove that, it\u2019s easy to change. Here\u2019s how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here\u2019s what a typical \u201cRecently Added\u201d section looks like at the top of the Start menu app list. It\u2019s a small area that shows the names and icons of recently installed apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you\u2019d like to hide the \u201cRecently Added\u201d section, we\u2019ll need to visit Windows Settings. Open Settings by clicking the \u201cStart\u201d Menu and selecting the \u201cGear\u201d icon (or by pressing Windows+I).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Settings, click \u201cPersonalization.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Personalization, click the \u201cStart\u201d option in the sidebar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Start menu settings, find the switch labeled \u201cShow Recently Added Apps.\u201d Click the switch to turn it \u201cOff.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next time you open the Start menu, the recently added apps section at the top will be gone. You will no longer be reminded of all the apps you\u2019ve installed recently, but you can, of course, find them in the All Apps list or by using the search box in the Start menu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
